Employ Recruitment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers – Southampton for ongoing container work based out of the port. This is a structured Monday to Friday rota with consistent PM start times and guaranteed minimum pay per shift.

If you are an experienced Class 1 driver with recent port experience in Southampton, this role offers steady PAYE earnings and long-term work with a leading UK logistics operator.

PAYE Pay Rates HGV Class 1 Drivers – Southampton

• Monday to Friday AM: £16.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday PM: £17.50 per hour
• Saturday AM: £19.00 per hour
• Saturday PM: £20.00 per hour
• Sunday AM: £20.00 per hour
• Sunday PM: £20.50 per hour

AM shifts from 04:00
PM shifts from 16:00
Rate remains fixed throughout the shift.

(In-House Payroll – No Umbrella)

• Monday to Friday rota

Container deliveries from Southampton Port to customer sites
Average shift length approximately 12 hours

This role requires recent port experience and familiarity with port clearance procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience
• Recent port experience
• Valid DCPC card
• Digital Tachograph card
• Professional, reliable attitude
• Good written and spoken English
